        
Welcome to the Handsworth and Hallam Theatre Company website. The Company was formed in 2002 from the merger of Handsworth Amateur Operatic Society and Sheffield Hallam Operatic Society. We are always happy to take new members, whether you are interested in a role on-stage or one of the many backstage or supporting roles. We put on two shows each year. A traditional family pantomime in January and a full musical production in June. More details are shown on this website. We also enjoy many social activities outside of the rehearsals and shows. All our rehearsals are at St Ann's Infant & Junior School in Rotherham. The address is Saint Leonard's Road, Rotherham, S65 1PD. An interactive Google Map of St Ann's location is below. We perform both our shows at the University of Sheffield's Drama Studio, which can be found on the corner of Glossop Road and Shearwood Road, near the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. | Handsworth and Hallam Theatre Company is affiliated with NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association). Founded in 1899 'to protect and advance the interests of operatic and dramatic art, and of societies engaged therein,' our membership goes from strength to strength with over 2,500 society members and 2,500 individual enthusiasts staging musical, operas, plays, concerts and pantomimes in venues ranging from the country's leading professional theatres to village halls.
